hi capacity clip for WASR?

questions for you ak guys. i got a WASR when the clinton ban was in effect. it's one of the ones from atlantic firearms that comes with single stack 10 round clips. regular high capacity ak clips will not fit into it becaue the receiver is milled different.

i know you can take a dremel or whatever and mill the receiver down to accept regluar clips, but i don't really want to do that.

is there any third party out there that has made a high capacity clip that will fit one of these assault ban WASRs?

Nope....

If you want "high-cap" or as I call them, "standard 30-round mags", then you have to dremel out the magwell.

I have a WASR like the one you are talking about too.... eventually I will convert it myself so it can accept my other (30rnd) mags.

okay, thanks. that's what i figured. a friend of mine did the conversion, and it works well, but i don't really want to mess with it.

i guess i can't complain, back in the day i only paid $149 for the rifle.

seems like a no brainer that somebody would make a single stack 20 rounder or something. there's tons of these rifles out there and people all want them.

I found a place with plenty of clips for sale. Let me know if you need a link.

It's very important you type the word that is twice the length as the universally recognized 4 letter "clip" because: if we sound professional while we're talking about guns, gun grabbers will realize that gun owners are civilized and sophisticated and will give up on their attempts to erode the 2nd ammendnent.

does anyone know of a high capacity magazine that exists and will work in a clinton era WASR?

Re: hi capacity clip for WASR?

No one is going to make them because it is very simple to open up the magwell to accept double stack magazines. Why make an insanely long magazine that will cost at least twice what a milsurp doublestack one costs? No one would buy it since they can modify the WASR in just a few minutes worth of work

You can find lots of instructions on the net. Be aware of 922(r) compliance issues if you do open up the magwell.
